US Partner Market Share

Overview:

The Loyalty System comprises of airline and local programs used to award miles/points on a completed rental which awards are reported.  We also offer miles/points to a customer after parking 3 times at US Thrifty parking locations in a 12-month period.  Between our Marketing Department and the individual programs we are always changing.   

AIRLINE MARKETING PROGRAMS

The 8 US programs are…Continental, American Airlines,  America West, Alaska Air, United Airlines, US Airlines, Delta, and Northwest. 

The 6 International programs are…Aero Mexico, Latin Pass, Kuwait Airways, Icelandair, Qantas and Air Canada. 

Each program has a specific amount of base miles that will be awarded on a closed contract or completed parking segment.  Each program is unique in its own award and cost structure.  Some marketing programs do not participate in the parking program.  In the 1st quarter of 2002 we have offered some internet bonus miles/points,  we are finding it is a great way to reach members.  Bonus miles/points are normally used during strategic time periods to drive incremental business and the regular bonuses will be offered again in the fall.  The numbers that are shown in the individual programs are for base rental or parking, they do not show bonus transactions

 GOLD POINTS

Gold Points has grown over the last year and we feel it has been a good program for us with the local customer.  Currently this program awards 750 base points and after every 3rd rental a bonus of 2,500 points.  After 9 Thrifty rentals they will receive a certificate for a free day on their next rental at any Thrifty location.  We are doing a re-launch of this program from 5/13/02 to 6/10/02.   

LOYALTY SYSTEM REWRITE

We have closed the project on our Frequent Flyer re-write.  As you can see we have re-named this program to the Loyalty System.  We still have a few clean-up issues but the program is in full swing.  The people that work in it every day are very pleased with the finished project.  There are many new things that were not available before and we are looking forward to using  it to its  full potential.  We believe because of this new program we have decreased customer inquires by about 15% and looking forward to that number growing.  This is good news to us and the licensees.    We have new abilities in the research of customer inquires and statistical analysis of the programs along with the processing of transactions
